Treat yourself to a Christmas Extravaganza!!

Join us for our Retro Christmas Spectacular Dinner Show again this year! Continue or begin a cherished holiday tradition at the Plaza Theater on the Historic Downtown Carrollton Square. We are so looking forward to sharing this production with new patrons and with those who have made this event an annual  family outing. We love doing our salute to classic television Christmas specials with a catered dinner by the award-winning Nuevo Leon Restaurant (Texas Monthly, D Magazine and Dallas Observer.) This heartwarming, toe-tapping variety show is in the spirit of those wonderful Christmas shows of yesteryear. Think Bing Crosby, Andy Williams, Dean Martin, Carol Burnett, Perry Como and more. Park once, stroll the beautifully decorated Square, do some shopping, then head over to the Plaza for a wonderful meal, excellent entertainment and the joy of reliving precious memories and creating exciting new ones with friends and loved ones. John recently wrapped up the last of this year's directorial opportunities at Artisan Center Theater. Beautiful and critically acclaimed productions of My Fair Lady, Les Miserables, Jr., and Phantom. Thankful to work with those that support our vision personally and professionally. Thanks to all involved including those that came specifically due to their love of John and his previous work at Artisan and to those who had not attended an Artisan show before, but came based on their expectation and enjoyment of previous experiences with John's shows elsewhere.

We look forward to what the future holds and in 2018 -  more shows to direct, more camp opportunities, will keep you posted. Students learn from successful performers with credits that include Broadway, National tours, prestigious concert series, cast recordings, TV, film and more. Let us help you face the challenges of a performing arts career. This profession requires not only your technical best, but the energy, spontaneity and artistry to be believable. It is also a full time business that requires a knowledge of who's who in casting directors, agents, and the creative teams behind the shows. Learn what these people expect you to know. Remember, there are literally thousands of people who want the same job and possess knowledge of over 100 years of  literature, shows, styles and personalities. Learn how (and how not) to set yourself apart from the rest! Be sure you know the lingo, rules and etiquette that apply from audition to rehearsal to Opening Night and beyond!

Our students appear in school, community, and professional theatre, film and television, not to mention prestigious university programs. Congratulations to all our students for their hard work and persistence!
